Unfortunately, we are going to see more of this.

We just missed this! We were eating dinner at the Red Lobster in front of the WalMart right before this went down. I was surprised to hear about it later that evening when we got home.

We are going to see more people robbing Walmart's or more Walmart employee's robbing the store where they work? Why do you think we will see more of this? Is it because you think Walmart employee's are underpaid?

This is not the beginning of a trend, it is just one person who went nuts. His life probably wasn't working out too well anyway if he is 83 and a greeter at WalMart.

With the economy going down the tube, more people's lives will not be "working out too well".

I am sure there will but the point is that this is not the beginning of a nation wide crime wave. There have been people with crappy jobs before our current "crisis" and they didn't go nuts and rob the joint.

Does anyone else find it sad that this person, at 83, still had to work? If he had to work for financial reasons, that's kind of shocking--he was well past the age where he should of been kicking back.

If he was working because he wanted something to do, that's different. I wonder if any sort of senility caused his behavior? Or if he had any past criminal record?

Gee whiz, my parents died at 80, this fellow was still working. It hits close to home for me.

We are going to see an increase in this type of thing as we have been seeing it, due to the economy, collapse of the dollar, cost of living increase and people struggling to make it day to day, etc..... Elderly are choosing to either eat or medication.

If you would like to see a good example of today's struggling society go to the 60 minutes website and look at the story that aired this Sunday on Homeless Children and their families.

This society is in sad shape.
