i took my dog to day care there yesterday to try it out (first day is free). i get the impression that there just aren't a lot of dogs there, since my dog was still pretty energetic when i picked her up. i've used Carolina Doggie Playland (on S Tryon) before, and after a day there, she's exhausted.
my general feeling about Fetch is that it's OK. not great, but not a bad place either. i think their prices are pretty good, and since it's about 2 minutes from my home, i'll probably use them for boarding. but i also don't get the best vibe, like you said.
