OP Wendover Glen and Wendover walk is the same place, at least the addresses match for both. Apartment complexes like to change their names every couple of years if they are getting a lot of bad reviews. So basically, you can take the reviews of Wendover Glen to heart, since they are likely talking about the same place.

Hi guys,

Of course I know all too well about how shady properties can be. I came from the #1 territory in mis representation.
All that said, I am here now at the complex, living. It's not that bad ...people had me really nervous ABOUT LIVING HERE. Those negative reviews happened years ago. So, I am thinking, the management may have changed since then, or they really want to be known as a good complex.

The un renovated apartments, do leave a lot to be desired, but it is what it is. It's the people that lived here that made it what it was/is. Most of em are dirty and don't clean.

I will tell you, that most the apts here in wendover back then, probably were welfare/section 8 rentals. It just looks it.
Now the remodeled and upgraded apartments (of which I am getting one), look ten times better.
I say it is all about the quality of the people you allow to rent. That's the reputation your apts will have.

NOW that I am here, it's not that bad at all. The immed area looks sketchy, but I am sure that will change, because when you go up the block and around the corner, the representation changes drastically to a working class kind of look.

I always appreciate it when original posters come back and update their threads

Glad you arrived safely and are not dissatisfied with your new digs.

If it's true the apt management has begun to be more discerning about who they rent to then that is a good thing for newbies like you

Take a left on Wendover out of your complex, then a left at the light on Randolph Rd and you will be at a nice shopping area in just minutes (Cotswold).

Enjoy your new life!

Yeah, good luck with the new area. I wasn't trying to make you sweat, but I get the general vibe on this board that people don't like that part of town. I do. I've lived around this area for 16+ years. I don't know what kind of atmosphere you are into, but if you head north on Wendover and left on Monroe, there's Lupie's, which is a dive, but a really popular spot to get some food. I'm personally not to into the whole upscale thing, so I favor those kinds of places. It's a long walk on foot. You could cut through Grier Heights to get there, but I wouldn't recommend it.

lol...ok...I completely understand. I have only been here for a month and a half. ..jury's still out! I like the fact that I'm right in the middle of everything, shopping, etc...3 minutes to ride up 2 s. sharon amity/randolph... and a little center across the street.
