So I just moved and have an urgent problem already. I get acupuncture done regularly back in Philly and by accident a small piece of the needle was left (broke off) in my right wrist which it hitting my nerve. I definitely know that is what it is ...what type of Dr. should I see for this? I live in Wesley Chapel but will travel for the better drs.!!! I would like to see someone very soon.

Thanks!

Go to a primary doc and they can assess the situation and refer you to a proper specialist if it needs to be removed surgically (which it sounds like it will).

See now this is where I am stupid.. I usually get some fire or Alcohal, a sharp blade and maybe some pliers.. and Wala!!.. then again.. I usually get cut and poked enough I don't go and pay to get it done.

Anyway.. I will try to find the report that I used to find my doc on some of the best docs in the area.

Call Advanced Health in University Area - Dr's Blistein they can probably recommend a solution. You might need out patient surgery to get the needle out. I'm sorry to hear about this situation, you must be very uncomfortable.
