Fencing/Landscaping (income, price, estimates)

Hi , I am looking for Fencing and Landscaping for a reasonable amount.Estimates that I had been getting are on the higher end.

Please let me know if anyone had worked out a good deal.

Where are you located? Makes a difference as we had a guy call and tell us that we were too far north for them (by 9 miles!). It was comical as I told him apparently times were really picking up to turn away potential income.

We didn't have much luck finding any consistency with what we wanted done (price wise) and ended up doing it ourselves, or at least we are in the process of doing it ourselves. Certainly tougher but with that comes a sense of accomplishment too!

If they're all in the same range, how do you know they're on the higher end?

Both of my neighbors did their own fencing. It didn't look very difficult, although one had to redo some of his because he didn't take the slope into proper consideration. And since they both redid their fences, I didn't have to.
