Hello everyone,

First let me say I have been lingering around silently for sometime now. The information I have received has been so helpful. I am the single parent of a beautiful 16 month old boy. I plan to move to NC in 7-8 months to try to give us a shot at a better quality of life. I currently live in CT in city notorious for violence, poverty, and failing school systems. Although I have my Master’s Degree, I just can’t afford any better right now and so we are moving. Where the people are nicer and the weather is warmer.
I am strongly considering Concord, NC. Just wondering the general opinion of that area. What are the opinions of the school systems, cost of living, and safety of this area? Also wondering if there are any Drop in Daycares in the Charlotte/ Concord area.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
