I haven't read this entire thread so I don't know if you all know this or not but their is a website called meetup.com and you can click on your city and state and find similar groups. I am definitely not trying to take anyone away from starting a group on the forum though. I would definitely love to be included if I ever make that move. Great idea

Default I am IN: when do we decide on the place?

It seems crowd is equally divided on the isssue of location. OP, just fix one and let us know. Also, how many people are willing to turn up?

The voting poll is automatically closing next Sunday. When the poll closes, I'll start another post with the winning location, as well as a new poll to get a headcount. If enough people plan on showing up, we might need to make a reservation for lunch or dinner, depending on the winning plan

This is so interesting. I haven't visited this site in about 5 weeks and this is such a great idea. Can't make it this month, but willdefinitely shoot for future events. I plan on making my move there next summer.
