My wife and I are considering moving to NC from NJ mainly because NJ is so expensive. We have heard nice things about NC and plan on visiting the Charlotte area in a few weeks. I am a teacher and my wife is a nurse so we can really go anywhere, but we are currently looking into the Huntersville area. Does anyone have any impressions of this area? Are there other areas near Charlotte (within a 45 minute drive) that we should be looking at? Any advice is of great help.

Very nice area, also check out Davidson and Mooresville that whole area is beautiful and you have the benefit of Lake Norman and Birkdale shopping. You will love it. Good luck to you
If you enjoy being near the water follow the Catawba river chain back from Lake Norman outside of Charlotte and you will find several small towns within 45 minutes of Charlotte. Hickory has Lake Hickory and is a quiet, safe community, with very affordable housing ranging from mountain views to lake views. Good medical facilities and low taxes.

Donsabi, Hickory looks great. How far would it be to drive to an area where there is administration work? Thanks
