Does anyone know a good place to purchase a nice "executive style desk". I don't want the cheaper "put together" type desk, but something nicer that I can put in my new office. I'd prefer a place that delivers and puts it together if it is disassembled.

Thanks!

Let me know if you're interested in going that route..

Staples has nicer ones provided you are willing to shell out some money.

You should travel to the Thomasboro outlet in Thomasboro. I've often seen very nice high quality desks there and this place has good prices. There is a delivery service that is extra if you can't take it yourself.

I have the same question. Though looking for a "U-shaped" executive desk made of solid wood or veneer. Staples have the traditional desks but no U-shaped.

I'd check out Larner's Office Furniture Outlet...

They have a website, too.

A true executive has a very simple and quite small desk. His or her minions are doing all the work!

Honestly.....try Craigslist.....sort it by price. There are a lot of very nice pieces to choose from.....some are prices in the 1000's.

Try shopping at the furniture places in Pineville (Ethan Allen, Haverty's, Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, etc.) They all sell very nice office furniture suites. You will shell out quite a bit, but their stuff is solid wood, good quality, requires no assembly, and is delivered about 4-6 weeks after ordering. It's "real" furniture, LOL!

For similar furniture, you can also try Furnitureland South up in High Point. It's about an hour and 15 minutes from Charlotte. They have a great selection and you can usually get really good deals (again, it's all hardwood, good quality, delivered, etc).

I bought a beautiful exec. desk and credenza w/hutch at furniture factory world in waxhaw. I also like the fact that they stock the items and they are available to you at time of purchase.
