I assume you have tried Vida? I know it is not a truck (before someone feels they have to point that out) but there fish tacos are really good.

I've been there, I didn't like it that much. Can't remember what I had, I just remember that the food was exceedingly salty.

Run, do not walk, to Roaming Fork. Tell Kelli that Cat sent you, and get the "porky cheesy", pulled pork and grilled cheese. I love those guys.

A Vida Taco Truck Uptown would make me so, so happy. Sometimes when I'm Uptown I can't find anyone to go to lunch with me there, and it's a shame. I don't know how well they do carry-out. Their carnitas tacos are to die for. I will have to try a fish taco too next time. Baja style?

I looked at the Porky cheese on the menu, but that CHICKEN one looks too good to be true.

Indeed! We love Vida, and I was sad to see that the other poster had food that was too salty. Been there tons of times and never left disappointed.

Guess someone had a heavy hand with the salt that day.

Love Roots - and the fact that they source from local growers. Terrific biscuits and gravy, among other things.
