Kids R Kids (waiting list) is right on Rea Road in the 28277 zip, and there's Tutor Time (available) right across from the Siskey YMCA.

You could also try Carmel Christian Wee School - on 51 not far from Providence Rd. Calvary Church has a great program. Both will have wait lists for next fall. But, it's worth a call to get on the wait list, you never know. Chesterbrook Academy also has a good reputation - on Ballantyne Commons Pkwy near Rea Rd.

What about the Montessori schools like Omni? Are those good? Do they have a waiting list? I've heard there are quite a few in S Charlotte, which of these are the good ones?

Could someone give me the rates for preschool. Here in LI, NY we could send our kids 2, 3 or 5 days a weekin am or pm sessions. I have my son in 2 days in the am and pay $109 a month. I think 3 days is $125. That is cheap for LI, NY. Just curious what are the rates in this zip code.

Also does anyone know rates for daycare facilities or people who work out of their home.

Thanks

You don't mention what the age of your kid is, but we pay $175 for my 4 year old for 5 days per week and he can be there anywhere from 6AM-6PM.

Yes, its 175/week for my 4 year old. Tutor Time in Matthews right across from the Siskey Y.

That's way cheaper than what the typical going rate is in NY/NJ. My girlfriend pays well over $1200/month for her kid who is the same age as mine up there.

Part of why we moved to Charlotte---lots of things are cheaper.
