Default Any cottage communities in Charlotte?

Are there any areas with bungalows where you can walk to shops, restaurants, parks, etc...?
Prefer the authentic older homes, but new live/work/play communities are also of interest.

Try Dilworth (area of Charlotte near Uptown). Sounds like just what you are looking for! Very close to shopping, restaurants. Has families as well as younger singles.

In Dilworth rents range from $1200 and up, homes mostly are well over $500,000 and up, though you can still sometimes find a LITTLE bungalow in the $300,000's. Or a real fixer upper in the $200,000's.

An example: Charlotte NC Homes For Sale, Houses for sale, houses, real estate, for sale - helenadamsrealty.com

nik is on a distinguished road
Plaza Midwood also fits that description and it's less expensive than Dilworth
