hi all - thank goodness for this forum - this is the 4th move I have used it for!

My husband just accepted a job at Time Warner's offices in SW Charlotte (across from Microsoft) and we are looking for a house to rent. Any help with areas would be greatly appreciated.

We have no kids (but may have a teenage nephew living with us if he needs a change). Schools are not a big issue, but library is.

I really liked Plaza-Midwood and other areas with walkable retail, but we probably want to stay on the west side. Not sure what my work situation will be yet.

We like diversity and trees!

Would like to spend no more than 1800$

Thanks!

Hey, no need to spend quite THAT much, lol

You should be able to find a house to rent in a nice area for on average about $1300.

Your husbands job is located in the Steele Creek area (southwest Charlotte - not west Charlotte). There are many neigbhorhoods scattered throughout the area. Try checking for rentals on Craigs List, TR Lawing or Meca in area 7 (that's Steele Creek) if you want to stay closest to the job.

Charlotte is "the city of trees", you'll find it very green and treed just about everywhere you go
