I will be relocating to Charlotte in July. I am having an awful time choosing where to live. I will be renting a home with 3 children. Well 1 is an adult, the other in high school and the last just starting kindergarten. Although you cannot be 100% safe anywhere I would like a nice area. There are so many different names. And I'm told you cannot choose by zip code because within each are good and bad areas. Please help! I'm listing some street names and areas and welcome any help you can give me. Thanks in advance!

7606 Hidden Creek Road
2031 Aberglen Dr Charlotte
14130 Waterlyn Drive Charlotte
1409 Jordans Pond Ln Charlotte
5609 Joshua Ln Charlotte
5311 Peachwood Drive Charlotte
3120 Kayla Ln Charlotte
7019 Frye Place Charlotte
6623 Bittinger Court Charlotte

South Charlotte
Matthews

Please include any remarks about anywhere I've left off. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Also are there other places besides rentalhouses.com where I could find homes for rent?

I work from home. I'm looking for an ideal place to live. I can't affor $2000 for rent. I've decided to rent first and buy later to get a feel for the area.

There is no reason to have to pay that much money for a good place to live with good schools, especially if you want an apt

So, is an apt acceptable or would you prefer a house?

7606 Hidden Creek Road is very close to the pipeline terminal with lots of fuel storage nearby. May not be a big deal though.

Most of those addresses are not what I would consider desirable.

Waterlyn and Kayla are the best on the list though for safety.

Spend some time on the great schools website to identify the schools that look the best to you, then look for homes assigned to the schools you like

Jordans Pond Ln Charlotte...I would not pick this area because of the schools. Keep looking. I agree with LovesMountains and the advice she is giving you.
By the way, I grew up in Upstate NY. I think you will like Charlotte, especially the weather!!
