I am a 36year old female african-american wanting to move to a community friendly neighborhood that is accepting to my husband, children and and myself. And I was wondering if anyone can give me some input on the crime and the racial problems (if any) as well as schools and employment opportunities for the medical and computer field.

I am not aware of any racial tension in the Concord area. Not sure why you'd be concerned about "being accepted" in Concord?

Employment opportunities all over NC are still slimmer than many other states unfortunately. But try searching the websites of the two biggest hospital systems - Carolinas Healthcare and Presbyterian Healthcare. There is a hospital affiliated with Carolinas Healthcare in Concord.

You could have your husband check for jobs at Celgard, which is expanding and might be in need of computer support people

A lot of blacks live in Concord. You shouldn't have any problems. You'd want to live in the area near Concord Mills mall and Popular Tent Road West. All of these communites below are in that area and are either in Concord or they're partly in Concord. You can't go wrong with any of them.
