I know Sonny's in Waxhaw has a game every week, maybe on Wednesday, but that might be too far out for your DH if you aren't nearby. I feel like Bonfire in Indian Trail might have a game too.
I can predict if you go there and actually win they will not want to play with you anymore. I've played at some events playing black jack, faro, texas holdem, and omaha, the people who were there got mad because I was competitive, like I was suppose to just go there and give them my money..
TJJT, this is just free bar poker....they run it like an actual poker tourney but it doesn't cost $ to play and you don't win $, it's all just for fun. I haven't played in a couple of years, but it's a fun social event, you can take the wifey there if she wants to learn how to play, and then like I said you network with people who have home games for moolah. THAT's when you swoop in and take their $.
My company, ECM Solutions, is holding a No Limit Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournament on Friday night, June 5th, 2015, benefitting A Child’s Place, a local organization that aims to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education.
Held at Draught Charlotte (601 S. Cedar St.), all proceeds raised from the poker tournament will be going directly to A Child’s Place. Tickets can be purchased online at: [url]https://ecmpoker.eventbrite.com[/url] for $100 (plus taxes and fees). Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the tournament will begin promptly at 7 p.m.
Each player will receive two complimentary drink tickets in addition to heavy h’orderves. Players will have a $50 cash re-buy option during the first two hours of the tournament. Prizes will be awarded first through fifth places, with first place prize being a golf foursome to Pinehurst.
