Just a friendly reminder to anyone that would like to make a donation. Saturday, May 14th, the post office will be accepting donations.

To donate, just place some non perishable items by your mailbox.

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive - Home

Giving the current economy, food banks have been running low on supplies and donations have been decreasing, so if you're able and willing, every little bit helps. TIA.

Can food be dropped off directly at a post office? The site wasn't letting me view it. I live in an apartment complex and the mail carrier seems to pick up at a different time each day between the hours of 11am-5pm. I'd rather not leave groceries just sitting out by the community mailboxes for such a long time.

Yes - you can do that, because the mail carriers are taking the collections back to their respective post offices anyway.

My wife picked up some extra items today at the grocery store to put out in the bag. I think this is a nice thing they do. It is a lot of extra lugging heavy stuff around for every mail carrier.
