Default Where to move in Charlotte?

Hey guys! I'm a young 50-ish guy who's lived in London for the past 13 years and is comtemplating moving to Charlotte. I've visited a couple of times and liked it. I have friends in Ballantyne. I thought I might like South Park better, but I just got a quick glance when I was there. Where's a neat place i can get an affordable house with decent amenities in the area like restaurnants, gyms, etc. Also what the dating scene like for old farts - not me!? Brits are very reserved, remember. Thanks!

Ballantyne and South Park are great areas, the schools systems are good which makes them attractive for prospective buyers when you are ready to sell. Quantify affordable and I will try to give you some specific communities that may be of interest in both areas, along with pros and cons. Will you be working? Where?
