Many people on this forum considering relocating have been posing questions regarding taxes and schools. Here are some PDF's for the taxes and the Reading and Math scores for Mecklenburg and Union Counties, the school information is not too in depth but it will give you a great idea of which schools you may want to target depending on the area you are focusing on. Hope this is helpful.
