What's going on with the Zoning petition signs in Ballantyne? Are they just saying something is going to change, or, did someone start a petition about a proposed change? Ive seen quite a few of them popping up.
Maybe its a new effort to stop the low end subsidized housing again. It was stopped before but I think some of the down town crowd still wants it. It could be a petition regarding land use that has nothing to do with housing, I dont know .
Maybe is for that garbage dump next to Ballantyne which they want to expand because all the other waste dumps in Mecklenburg are full. Sounds like that got fast tracked.

I don't think it's Foxhole because there isn't anything planned for Foxhole (that I'm aware of) that they aren't already permitted for.

That must be it! It always baffled me North Community House Road was split in half, so a bridge would be nice, and anything to get rid of the traffic issues would be welcomed. I work in the area and if I ever need to leave between 4 and 7pm, its not easy.
That's what I was thinking too, plus they want to rezone some lands there for an assisted living/nursing home too I think along with something from 521 Sports Team in that area. All good things.
