Hi All,

Can you recommend some good restaurants for a Saturday night out for our anniversary? We live south of Charlotte so we'd probably prefer to go somewhere in the following areas...Ballantyne, Matthews, or any places on the southern portion of Providence Road.

We love Italian food, Sushi, and any thing else really! I have no clue where to surprise her!

Thanks!

McCormick & Schmickt's is a chain, however, it is a truly lovely place to have a nice dinner. There is one downtown. McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant - Fresh Seafood

Give Arooji's Wine Room a try if you enjoy Italian food. Two locations, one at the Promanade on Providence (near 485) and one in South Park. http://www.aroojis.com/

Mickey and Mooch is yummy and in the Arboretum. 1511 Main in Blakeney is also very popular, but I haven't been.
Roosters in South Park is good, too.

We really liked the Park Terrace in South Park on Piedmont Row. Great food, intimate and does not break the pocketbook. You can look them up on Charlotte City search with great ratings. They ALS have a fabulous brunch!

If it's Ballantyne, the best restaurant as far as service, ambiance and quality would be Villa Antonio. Global in Torringdon or the Gallery @ Ballantyne Resort would also be good choices.

If you're willing to venture out in Charlotte a bit, I'd suggest the Fig Tree www.charlottefigtree.com | It's a locally owned, chef run restaurant that is out of this world.

Also, it's 131 Main Blakeney which is ok for a night out. For a special night it wouldn't be my suggestion.
