Does anyone know exactly what is being built on Old Lancaster Highway near Hwy 521 in Ballantyne? They've cleared a massive amount of land and there's no signage. I've heard rumors that there was a new elementary school going in soon which would be great.
I think you're referring to the Ardrey Kell intersection.
I think the school will be on the south side of Ardrey Kell. The northeast corner is commercial retail. There's also a sports/athletic complex being built.
The school on Ardrey Kell will open next year I believe.
Is that where the Walmart will be or is that further down in SC?
Further down the road, south of the Foxhole on the same side of 521, just across the state line. There will be a stop light because traffic will have to crossover 521. That's the last I heard.
No, I'm talking about heading down Lancaster Highway, like if you're leaving out of the Lowes Foods parking lot heading straight towards the new shopping center with Farleys Pizza. There's a big piece of land that was cleared off over the course of a few months.
Sorry I misunderstood. Let me think. If I leave Lowes Foods and head up Lancaster Hwy towards Carolina Place and Pineville....this piece of land is on the right hand side. Am I getting warm?
Is Farley's in the new shopping center at the intersection of Lancaster and Ardrey Kell? Is it good pizza? I had only heard of a Farley's in Mineral Springs.
Their are going to be 2 new elementary schools. The first is heading down Ardrey Kell from Johnston. Elon Park elementary. There is a 2nd elementary school being built that spans Marvin and Lancaster HWY. This is the large tract of land that was recently cleared.
I beleive I read something that the propety was owned by CMS and they were building a school there and also looking to sell the rest of the land to a developer for single family homes or townhomes. However, I could be mistaken. BTW in that new shopping center with Farleys...has anyone gone to the Indian place (Cafe Nirvana I think it's called) any reviews?
