I have a friend who is in New York. He fell in love with the Charlotte area when he visited last winter. He wants to excel in the sales industry more inbound or insurance sales. In New York, He inquirired New York Life selling insurance policies but the gentleman there told him that he needs his drivers license and to begin making payment arrangements on the debts on his credit report. He takes medicine for psychiatric and non psych meds. He tried to ask the doctor who prescribes his psych meds if she would give him 3 refills so he can have them filled in New York using his State funded medical insurance in New York and mailed to my relatives house in Iredell County. I informed him the Medicaid system in NC is not as liberal as it is in New York for single people. He attends AA so he would have to connect with a group down there. He attended a few meetings during his visit last winter. His previous professional experience is he was a stock broker trainee in 2000, Last semester, he recently attended at a community college with a GPA in the 3.0 range. I've made him aware of the unemployment rate in the Charlotte region as well as the thick competition there, and the higher food prices.
I'd like to know if his outlook looks favorable? How is the sales market in the Charlotte region as far as the climate and the starting salary?
Sounds like the price of food is the least of his concerns.
I agree.
