Charlotte wins by a mile over Orlando to live in. (To visit is a whole different story)

Right now, the Magic is a better team than the Bobcats, that's about it.
Until Dwight Howard leaves them for Los Angeles

LA can't afford him. Otis Smith already stated he isn't trading him, let alone for the joke known as Andrew "the Handicapped Pro Wrestler" Bynum. So if Howard is leaving he is going to a non-big city team; in other words, dont expect him to leave.

For fictional sakes, the Magic without Howard is still way better than the Bobcats.

Orlando a couple of years ago had the highest per capita MURDER rate in the country! Seriously. They try to keep it quiet due to Disney World. Google "Top 6" gang, and you'll get an idea of why...they have migrated from South Florida to Tampa and Orlando. If they come to your state, better pack up and move! Seriously. lol. Rudest people ever, and their kids love to gang-bang. Lovely

Orlando is ghetto. Charlotte is beautiful.

Please... Orlando, especially for it's size is very green and clean. Charlotte's not ghetto? Sure there are some areas that are ghetto in Orlando, but it's pretty easy to spot.

Please pull up that info, I'd love to see it.

And Charlotte doesn't have gangs? Should I pull that up? I bet if I pull up crime indexes for both cities, they'd be similar. Dont get me wrong, Orlando has it's problems (crime, traffic, sprawl) but it's to be expected for a city of it's size. Not to mention smaller towns surrounding Orlando (Lake Mary, Oviedo) are some of the best places to live in the US.

We have a major gang problem here as well. The only thing I would prefer about Charlotte is this: Change in climates, proximity to mountains, lower car insurance rates, and lower home insurance rates. Charlotte has more of a city feel about it, but Orlando has numerous great points. It is all relative to what one wants, but I wouldn't say that one is that much better than the other. I lived in Florida for many years and except for fishing and diving in the Gulf's beautiful water, I don't miss it a bit.

Car insurance in NC is pretty high.

Car insurance (for us) is actually the same in Asheville as it was in FL.

Charlotte is a cool city though, I'm not knocking it. But for someone to say Orlando's crime is worse, gang activity is worse, and schools are worse, is incorrect.
