DH and I currently live in Raleigh and we moved here about 5 months ago from the DC area for him to take a job. Unfortunately, the job didn't work out and we're trying to decide if we want to stay in Raleigh since he has been out of work for a while and can't seem to find anything. We don't have any children so we don't need to worry about pulling the kids out of school and finding a new one. We also rent and are about to go month-to-month on our lease, so no worries about selling a home.

DH is a project manager and has experience in both residential and commercial construction. I work from home and would most likely be able to transfer my job from my home office to my company's Charlotte office (big plus for me - lonely at home!).

Can anyone shed some light on if his prospects will be good in the Charlotte area? Are there construction recruiters he should be contacting? As you can imagine, we're gun-shy about moving again for a job, but he needs to be working!

TIA for your help.

check out Home (http://www.charmeck.org/Departments/Human+Resources+City/Home.htm - broken link)

There will be a project manager position listed within the next week to month. The pay is anywhere from $50,000-$55,000. It will manage City of Charlotte renovation projects, new construction and probably parking lot program. Comes with benefits, vacation, 401k, state retirement.
