I too have been wondering where I could find a good affordable nursery. I know of one on 74 in Matthews but their specimans don't look the healthiest and the prices seem a bit inflated. I heard there is a good nursery in Concord, if anyone knows anything about that one I would love any info.
Not looking to thread jack but I am particularly interested in getting a couple Thunderclouds and a birch or two and possibly another windmill palm.
We Bought some last year at this time, at Pike Nursery over in Toringdon (Ballantyne). At this time of year we got a big discount, they give a 1 year guarantee
Young's Garden Center in Fort Mill is supposed to be good and I heard nice things about Rountree Plantation near Tyvola/South Blvd. Let me know what you find!
I made my way to Pikes today. Their pricing is very good and the place has a nice selection of just about everything! A little tough to find, but any one looking to go just look for Sticky Fingers on Johnston in Ballantyne and they are just behind there. Too bad they will not have my Thunderclouds until the fall, but we will probably go back tomorrow for a Crate Myrtle. Will most likely go there when we are ready to build our pond and stone patio as there selection of stone and pond accessories blew away Lowes or Home Depot. Now if only they had my black mulch I ccould have avoided Lowes all together today.
