Was the OP inspired by the Davidson story, or was it just a coincidence? We had a goat in our neighborhood in NJ a few years ago, and it was very noisy and very smelly. It was mercifully relocated to a farm, which is where goats belong - not in suburbia.

I read the microsoft article about them using goats and thought about possibly trying it for my lot. Seems like a business opportunity for someone local whoever is interested. You could use my yard for R&D

My mom used goats years ago to clear out a property she bought that hadn't been taken care of for a long time in suburban NJ. It worked great!!!! I think everyone there thought she was crazy but we all knew she was a genius

After CA Oakland hills fire in the 80s, the city allows herds of goats in the areas owned by the city to keep the grass and weed under control. I think it's a great idea.

The Lake Norman Citizen ran an article about Davidson renting the goats to eat kudzu and said they rented the goats from Wells Goat Farm, for more info visit Wells Farm - Home

I imagine this will make an awesome prank to pull on my best friend.

Rent a goat and leave in his fenced in yard while he and his wife are at work. Should videotape for priceless expression when they return home. Hmmm....

I assume you all saw the article in the Sunday Observer. I almost cried laughing when I saw it, and DH just didn't get it... LOL
