So I've been going to Carolina Auto and Tire over on South Blvd. for several years. They've been great, but we've moved farther and farther from them and now it's almost a 15 minute drive, so I'm looking for something closer (i.e. in the Matthews area).

Any good recommendations? I'm all ears.

Matthews Exxon does good, honest work.

Default Auto Repairs

We have used Amity Auto Repairs on Monroe Road, between Sharon Amity and Eastway/Wendover. They are especially good on older model cars and are very reasonable on their hourly charge. It helps to get an appointment because they are usually slammed. While they are not in Matthews, they are close enough to make the drive worth the effort.

Spencer at Brake Xperts on 74 is very honest. He has fixed my car for free before when it was something minor. His integrity keeps me coming back.

A 15 minute drive is too much for occasional service at a trusted mechanic?

15 minutes?
