Bottom line: If the price sounds too good, that's because there is a reason. Your safety is worth a few extra dollars. Yes, check the Pineville location. A few years ago I lived in the area close to the Suburban Stay in Pineville (link in previous post). Walkable to just about everything you need. Still, keep your guard up wherever you stay.

The ones that Loves listed in Pineville are fine. We put our kids up at them when they come into town to visit.

I agree the Pineville location would be better than any of the choices you listed. Several resturants within walking distance as well.

The only thing to be careful about with the Extended Stay Deluxe on Hwy 51 is trying to cross Hwy 51 to get to the restaurants. Its easier to drive across the street.

With the exception of the old Main St in downtown Pineville (all of two blocks long) you can't really tell where Charlotte ends and Pineville begins. In the area where the extended stay is you'll think you are just in Charlotte.
