Default kids sports

We would like to find some sports programs for our five year old when we make our move. SO far he has done t-ball and is now starting flag football. He has loved them both. When I looked at town websites I do not see anything. The towns we like so far are Matthews and Indain Trail.

I notice the libraries have programs for our almost three year old. I was wondering also how are the local ymca or ywca's ?

eddited, cause I cannot type

The YMCA has sports programs for kids. If you are in Matthews or Indian Trail you could go to either the Siskey Y or the Morrison Y at Ballantyne. Go to ymcacharlotte.org. I think Morrison has flag football and soccer, and I believe that Siskey has soccer and baseball/t-ball. Also, the Matthews Area Recreation Association (MARA) has T Ball, Little League, and other sports. Go to marasports.org. You could also try the Wesley Chapel Weddington Athletic Association (WCWAA) at wcwaa.org. Good luck!

If you end up in Indian Trail check this link out, I came across it the other day on the middle school website.
Porter Ridge Athletic Association
here's a bit from the site:
"Porter Ridge Athletic Association produces youth recreational sports programs for approximately 2,000 children in the western Union county communities of Lake Park, Indian Trail, Stallings, Hemby Bridge, and some unincorporated areas of Western Union county including the communities of Emerald Lake, Shannamara, Fairfield Plantation, Hunley Creek, Mill Grove, and Stevens Mill.

We provide programs in Baseball, Softball, Football, Soccer, Cheerleading, and Basketball for children from 4 -14 years old. Please browse this site for more information on our specific programs as well as opportunities for you to get actively involved in the lives of the children of this community."

In south Charlotte, you may also try Calvary Church. They offer soccer, football, & other sports (unless something has changed).

In Union County try Wesley Chapel Weddington Athletic Association - News Our kids are playing football and soccer through them this fall. So far I've been very impressed with their organization and leadership. Good luck.
