If you're ever in Mooresville,Turner's Hardware has them.There used to be a store at the intersection of Harris Road and Statesville Hwy.called Wash Davis's General Store.I assume it's still there and they will have them. Also check Bed,Bath and Beyond or World Market.

I think Crate and Barrel has something similar. But Wash Davis' place will probably have the original one. Love that place!

I'm assuming you read Kathleen Purvis' CO article yesterday with the method for stripping corn to make creamed corn? I love KP dearly and always read her column but I swear you can get the same results with a sharp knife. The corn stripper will become just another gadget in your drawers that you use once a year.

No I didn't read that article. As a young girl my parents always used a corn stripper when preparing corn to be frozen. It is MUCH easier on hands than a knife. We are going to have several dozens of ears and I want to lighten my load in doing this.
