You can't blame them, it's where all the girls be!
Until they give the curfew laws some teeth AND charge the 22 year olds that associate with these kids with accessory, this is going to continue to be an issue.

This story is written in a much more positive tone than it should be. I love how they completely gloss over than an 11-year-old was hanging out in this environment at 11:30 p.m. as if that's edgy/cool.

There is a whole segment of the population here that does, indeed, think that is cool. Part of the story is between the lines . . . where are these kids' parents? Obviously, they are the same disengaged parents who don't know what their kids are doing at school (assuming their kids are still in school) - and further, don't give a rat's ass.
Uptown Charlotte is becoming Downtown real fast . . .
