Health Insurance for small business owners-Charlotte area (Indian Trail: broker, moving to)

My husband and I are planning on moving to Indian Trail, NC. My husband is a carpenter and owns his own business here on Long Island, he would like to find an employer who offers benefits in the Charlotte area, but if we can not find that, we would be looking into getting health insurance for our family so he can open his own business. If anyone has any information about getting health insurance on your own, I would appreciate any info you can pass on.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina - Your plan for better health offers this, but the rates are high. There are other companies that offer it, but I am not sure of their rep.

we have celtic insurance. we went through a broker (medallion insurance in wachaw). its not the best of the best (no well-visits, no maternity coverage), but its a lot cheaper than blue-cross so thats what we have for now.
