They are out and they are strict. A coworker got cited for 57 in the 45. This is mainly near the remants of the coliseum. They are also enforcing illegal left and u-turns near the BofA. Some are on those sleek new BMW motorcycyles too so it is really hard to see them.

I wouldn't classify 57 in a 45 as "strict". And the nerve of enforcing something that's illegal!

Probably not really strict. I don't go over 50 down there myself.

The law is the law, and going 57mpg in a 45mph area is really breaking the law. The same goes for illegal U-turns or left turns. I am glad the cops are implementing the law.

Really what's the point of this thread? When the cops are not around we hear they are not doing the job so when they show up they are accused of being strict. If you do not want a speeding ticket then go the speed limit.

Are motorcycle cops new here?? Hey guys, they are only doing their jobs. I for one get pretty tired of everyone going 65 when I am going the speed limit of 55. Try making a turn when they are on your bumper at that speed---very scary at times. As an above poster said...so many complain when the cops aren't doing their job and so many complain when they do their jobs. Remember how many times you didn't get caught when you finally do get pulled over!!

Thanks for the tip, I'll be down there tomorrow and frankly there is one left turn light into one of the business parks that rarely is working properly so we all turn left on red on that sometimes. I'll know to go around the block tomorrow to that back entrance.

TIP FOR EVERYBODY WITH CONCERNS FOR SPEED LIMIT: DON'T GO PAST NINE AND YOU WILL BE FINE! Honestly, folks we all go a little over the posted limit but as long you stay under 10 youre fine.
