And? I made it clear this is where the opinion came from. I never claimed to know these people. Get a grip son. I'm sure these old folks that you claim to know would tell you the same.

Nothing wrong with MY grip, boy!

Nothing more to say here to you either.

I will let others form an opinion as to who is stating opinions and facts and who is talking in circles.

Why have all of the threads lately turned into an attitude competition? If you can't be respectful to people, go find a forum for a-holes that like to argue with other a-holes. This is a chilled-out city forum for neighbors and relocators to share information and discuss issues, not a debate. Why get so defensive when someone challenges one's opinion?

While I think that neighborhood watch groups are fine and all, who the eff is she to question people walking or parking on a public street. If I am on a public street it is nobody's damn business if I live in the neighborhood or not.
You can be on the public street

She can ask you if you live in the neighborhood

Good for these women. I have found that most people are afraid to report anything suspicious in their neighborhood. They rather pretend it does not exist and hope it doesn't affect them.

I would love for more people to take a community approach to keeping neighborhoods safe

Ya, she can. But it is still none of her business. I can also tell her to go sit on her knitting needles if she does question me.

Do you think for one minute that she/they wants to do this? I am certain that there are other things these ladies would rather be doing. But in today's society of no repsect, no morals and the over abundance of punks and thugs these ladies have decided that those types will not overtake or move-in to their community. Good for them!!!

And for anyone to not take part in their own community, shame on you. You come into our small community, you bet yor bippie you will be asked what your business is around here and you will be escorted out.

You have no right to "escort" anyone out of your neighborhood if that person is on a public street. It's one thing to if they are reporting people trespassing in yards, lurking about looking into windows, etc. But from the sounds of the article, they are leaving notes on cars that are parked on a public street and approaching people who just happen to be around that they don't know.

Did you even read the article? With comprehension?

Yes, I did. Since you think you are so much smarter than me please explain what I am missing.

FTA: They leave notes on suspicious cars... & when the grannies see strange cars in the area

What exactly is a suspicious car? Just because there is a car that you don't know parked on a public street doesn't make it suspicious.

FTA: "I'm not afraid to ask someone if they live here,"

Again, she may be free to ask me but I am free to tell her to go screw if I am on a public street.

FTA: After the grannies saw a person sitting in his car near the pool and not getting out...they passed the license plate to the police

This is fine.

FTA: ...has a pool, picnic tables and private 17-acre park.

I don't know enough from the article to say anything about the park or pool policing.

Your rights begin, where another's end. I think you are missing the fact that they are being PRO active in their community as they should be. It is not the job of the police to protect us. Perhaps if you got proactive in your community you would see the benefits.

These ladies are to be commended in what they do. And obviously the LEO in the area are very supportive as well.
