24-year-old woman stabbed to death in domestic dispute
24-year-old Charlotte woman is stabbed to death in dispute | CharlotteObserver.com & The Charlotte Observer Newspaper (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2011/07/27/2484440/charlotte-woman-killed-in-dispute.html - broken link)
Clearly no one should move here under some posters' metrics because in this large city, we have boyfriends that stab girlfriends. How generally dangerous that is for us all.

The girlfriend was arrested this weekend for domestic violence and the media reported that they thought it was towards the person who stabbed her.

What a shame.
Your link lead me to look at the recent mugshots and I can't help but wonder why some people smile. One of the girls is grinning like she is at a church picnic, for goodness sake.

Either way it is a sad outcome for her family.

If your point is that we should stop posting links to every crime story that hits the paper, I agree with you 100%. I read the paper and watch the news and I don't need to see it recycled here. We don't need to be pollyannas about local crime, but it is silly to just repeat every heinous crime that happens as evidence that this is a horrible area.

While you may read local media each day, people researching the area do not. Chances are they don't even know the outlets we have here or where to begin. One also has the option to not open the particular thread if they have already read the story or seen it on tv.
