Yes. This lovely rain brought the temps down to around 77 here today. All the plants are enjoying it a great deal. A farmer told me the other day that everything is ripening faster due to this unusual heat.

It was pretty mild today up in Salisbury. A nice day for the flea market.

Many times the precip (ie Lake effect snows) only goes as far down as say Binghamton or NW NJ, but the lingering clouds are a huge factor for much of the northeast. That's typically why you add to the more frequent cloudy days......

Only when those strong NNW winds die down is when things usually start to "clear" out.
Today was one of those days where it was blustery outside and up and down the east coast. It reminded me of this thread where everyone kind of piled on.....well, looks like what I said above was true.

I happened to check w/some family who were traveling up i-95 today and the lake effect was certainly taking effect like I said in this post. Snows in interior PA and upstate NY, and lingering clouds making it a cloudy day for most of the state of NJ w/brisk NW winds and temps not making it out of the 30's.

this is all the result of a strong cold front coming through the area....

Wow..you resurfaced a post you were dead WRONG in...why?

If you think the I 95 corridor is at all affected by the Great Lakes except on the RAREST occasions, I can't help you.

Re-read my original post. I said the lake effect has an effect on the I-95 corridor cities.

It did yesterday (cloudy/cold/blustery) and it will next week when another strong cold front comes through.....

Its winter.....strong cold fronts coming down from Canada into the northeast is not rare....

Not dead wrong, sorry.
