I am looking to relocate due to a job transfer to Charlotte - Zip code 28273

Can anyone recommend a few good rental communities near this area in Charlotte that will accept a large breed 70 pound dog?

I am looking to not pay more than $800 or so a month for a 2BR/2BA.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

THanks!

Wow, no responses. Sorry about that! I will say I have found that you would be hard pressed to find an apartment community in this area that DOESN'T allow most dogs (except the usual "suspects"--- Dobermans, Pit Bulls, Rotweillers...) I know people who live in Fort Mill, SC at "The Commons of Fort Mill" (just over the SC border from your new job) and they pay $775.00 a month for a large 2BR/2BA, and it seems just about all dog breeds are allowed. Also, there are some nice complexes in South Charlotte in the 28226 zip code that allow pets as well, but they are a little over your price range unless you can downsize to a 2BR, 1BA or a 1BR with a den.

You can go to this website http://maps.cmpd.org/cmpdnet/agreement.aspx?ref=quickSearch (broken link) and search the crime stats for the complex that you are interested in. It is a website from the Charlotte/Meck Police Department itself- so I'd say it's pretty reliable. Good luck!
