Well, I posted here a long time ago about moving to Waxhaw. As a person without a car I hated it there. There was barely anything to do and the town was way too upper-class and it was too expensive to live there.

We moved to Gastonia eventually, and I am happy here. Despite what some may think about this place and it's not exactly the best in the world (I would rather live somewhere in Charlotte, but I live with my sister and have to go wherever her family goes). I love it here, I have a job, there's alot of decent shopping, malls, restaurants, and other places to walk around and look at. I'm not far from my work and I can take the bus if I have to. It's definitely alot easier, and I am still settling in and trying to meet new people.

Hopefully we won't have to move again for a long time.

Welcome to the dreaded "area west of Charlotte".

I remember your other thread.

I live in the ever-unfashionable Kings Mountain. I agree, there's a little bit of just about everything out here.

I didn't mind living in Gastonia for the 2 yrs I was there! It had all of my basic needs and dining. It was close enough to Charlotte and all the other things I needed with less traffic (at least 10 yrs ago it was less than all the other areas)!
