linearity is on a distinguished road
Default Help us decide....Huntersville/Concord/Matthews?

So we have narrowed down our search to those three towns outside of Charlotte. Can anyone comment on the positives/negatives of each area? Specifically schools, crime, traffic, taxes/home prices, quickly rising home appreciation, and entertainment (we have a 2 year old and plan to expand our family).

Schools - which specific school districts within those areas would you recommend as being the best?

Traffic - my husband would be driving into uptown Charlotte onto Graham street each morning (about a mile down Graham from the highway exit into the industrial area).

Thanks!

You'd probably get more answers from posting in the Charlotte Metro Area Forum than here.

This might not help much but, when we travelled to Charlotte, folks we met on the plane, at the Wal Mart, the gas station, etc ... all seemed partial to Huntersville ... we received multiple recommendations. Skybrook was also suggested to us over and over again ... but, north of Charlotte did not appeal to us and we weren't looking for a new home community.

As for Matthews, I liked it very much. It was at the top of my list initially. The big turn off for me was going down Tilley Morris Road (I think that was the name) at rush hour ... Oh boy! How scary. It was congested beyond belief and seemed quite dangerous. There was a home I thought was beautiful right on this road, set back a ways ... it just wasn't safe for a family with young children or pets. I can't imagine how long it takes to get in and out of Matthews on a regular work day.
