I have different allergies here.. I get the sinus headaches and can tell when the pressure is changing. I don't get the itchey eyes, runny nose like Illinois/Hay Fever. I also know that sometimes don't always turn up the first year. I think witht he growth around here, it would the same as Atlanta.

I had bad allergies as a kid growing up, took shots for 18 years and meds, but they improved greatly after I had my first child. I could honestly say they were very occasional up until moving to NC. We moved here in the spring when you could see pollen all over your cars, personal belongings, and even yourself if you stayed out long enough! My allergies are sporadic here with hay fever and watery eyes mostly. My son, who has never had allergies was sick for over a month when we first moved here with a dry, hacking cough. We took him to an allergist/pulmonologist when no meds seemed to be helping him. They put him on an inhaler, and he has been fine since.

My wife and I moved here in june. We both suffered with bad allergies when we were in NY. Her allergies were actually worse than mine. I picked up something on the way down, and not having insurance, i was not able to get medication. well whatever allergy i picked up turned into an infection, and once my ins. kicked in I was able to go to the doctor and get antibiotics. Other than that one incidence, my wife and I have not had any allergy attacks. (knock on wood). From reading posts we may have just missed the worst time of year. Pollen is bad for both of us. have to watch, next spring. Thanks for the info.
