Default CLT Flight Patterns and Traffic

Anyone know of a site to view flight patterns of incoming and outgoing flights in and out of CLT. Do they come in from the North/South or East/West?

The way they come in varies, it is not always the same, I'm sure that's a wind/weather thing. Unless you plan to live within 5 miles of the airport I don't think the noise level is bad at all.

We were looking at a location about 5.5 miles west of the airport along Hwy 74 near Lake Wylie. It looks like the runways run north and south for the most part and another one southwest to northeast. I imagine this area would be fairly safe from much traffic then. Was just curious if anyone lived within a 5-10 mile radius and what their noise level experience was.

Thanks!

I did live there a few years ago - very pleasant little area. The plane noise never bothered me - like hearing occasional traffic on a distant highway - no big deal. We actually used to enjoy watching them line up at night for their turn to land, kind a neat light show.

Most seem to land south to north and can be quite loud inside the 485 loop around highway 49/south tryon. Even in a flight path the noise isn't bad once you get a couple miles outside the 485 loop.
