Default GMC Television Movie Premiere: Trinity Goodheart (filmed in Charlotte), Aug 20, 21 & 22 9PMEST

I’m not sure if this story is actually “set” in Charlotte, probably not, but it was filmed here, so hopefully we’ll see a few familiar scenes. Its coming on channel 283 on Time Warner Cable.

About the movie: When 12-year-old Trinity Goodheart is visited by an angel who leaves her a pendant that belonged to her long-lost mother, Trinity concludes that her mother is in danger and needs her help. What ensues is an effort by Trinity to reunite her disjointed family; and in the process, she teaches them the value of love, faith and forgiveness. Stars Eric Benet, Erica Gluck and James Hong

An update to what I said above, the film is "set" in Boston and Buffalo. So don't expect any Charlotte skyline shots.

Because we all know that a faith based plot can't be set in the bible belt.

Finally watched this, its came on several times since the first weekend. For those who know Charlotte, much of the scenes will be familiar. It was pretty much filmed entirely in NoDa. The main set is the old Real Eyes bookstore, and most of the street scenes are in NoDa. They also show Uptown street scenes a lot (no skyline though), and the new Duke Energy Center building. The office locations are actually the Gantt Museum near the Duke Center. Near the end there are scenes of Elizabeth Ave with Uptown blurred in the distance, and the final scene is at the Double Door music venue. Funny too, because they use the actual Double Door signage, low budget LOL! It comes on again at 11AM Sun the 28th. I'm sure they'll show it several more times too. Not the best acting though, I fast forwarded a lot of it.
