Charlotte Metro area is rather large.

Ideally you want to live on the side of town you work on especially if you hae children.
Do you know what side of town you will be working to assist us in suggestions. Also how much of commute time is within reason?

Thanks

Is your son going into the 8th grade? Middle school is such a tough age, and those schools are the scariest to me. We do have several good ones in Charlotte however. Look to live in neighborhoods that have these as their school assignment:

Bradley
Carmel
Community House
Crestdale
Davidson
Mint Hill
Robinson
South Charlotte

I will try to see if I can find a few links for rentals for you
