Dear all,
we are a bit confused regarding home values in Raintree ( Wilmington section).
We are about to purchase a home there in the upper 400k range !!
I know it sounds expensive, but considering the location of that specific house, the size etc it may hold/increase it's resale value.
Someone told me Raintree is getting more expensive "every day",because it is still an affordable Golf community within the City and it is not so "corporate" as e.g Piper Glen. Therefore it is a fairly safe investment.
Anyway who knows more about that community and could give us some advise regarding real estate in Raintree ( we like it a lot because it is a very green ,established ,friendly and conveniently located community.
Thank's

Many of the homes in Raintree are cheaper than the surrounding area because it is an older neighborhood and many of the homes need updating. You'll see a lot of wood sided homes that have the siding going vertically, for example, instead of horizontal. Or even on an angle. That's pretty 70's looking, so many folks don't care for the overall look of the neighborhood in some spots.

I think, given its location in south charlotte and accessibility to everything, its worth fixing up one of those house for sure.
