Default Where to buy home in Indian Trail/Matthews?

I am a Charlotte native who grew up in the Indian Trail area, but I have never bought a home here. I have been looking now foor probably about 6 months. I am sure I am driving my realtor crazy. There is so much out there so I have been entirely indecisive. I have looked in Lake Park, Arbor Glen, Colton Ridge, Prestwick, Crismark, and so many more. I am not crazy about how close the homes are to one another and how narrow the streets are, but it seems in my price range this is what I may get. I need at least 4 BR and bonus is a plus. I, also would like to resale in 5-10 years and make some money. It seems a lot of the newer communities sold homes for $225,000 in 06 and are now selling their new homes for $150-175. I understand the economy right now, but with this all in mind will I be walking in with built in equity? What are your thoughts on Crismark, Prestwick, Fairhaven, Arbor Glen, or Lake Park? How do you foresee the housing market in 5-10 years? With Obamas new plan to decrease the amount of vacant forcloseures, and offer deals to investors, do you see this having a major impact on the housing market? Also, with the fabulous growth in the Union county area and their desirable schools, do you foresee homes to increase in value even though the economy is poor? Just looking for some good, sound advice to aid with my decision in buying a new home. HELP!!

Give up on the idea of making a profit in 5-10 years. The bubble is over and you can't count on it coming back.
