My folks are coming down from PA for the weekend. I don't know about what we're actually doing on Labor day, but I am ready for college football to fire up.
When I informed my dad that I haven't had cable in a year, he nearly cancelled the trip but I assured him I had the basic channels but no ESPN or any channel over like 12.
We're going camping at the Davidson River Campground in the mountains...and I have to figure out a time to go to Durham (the complete opposite direction) to meet my newborn nephew who was born on Sunday!
Not sure yet maybe running up to Tweetsie with our season passes and enjoy cooler weather. Right now it is set to be 10 degrees cooler in Blowing Rock than Hickory on Sunday!!! I will take an 81 anyday!!!! Otherwise it is the end of my son's 1st week of Kindergarten so probably relaxing. My rents show up on Monday for a short visit.
With any luck, we're expecting a granddaughter! Her due date is Aug 31. Our daughter went to OB this morning and she's measuring at 41 weeks, but no signs of labor yet. She's scheduled to be admitted to the hospital 5 AM Monday. But our girl is on the treadmill now, trying to encourage her along.
I am traveling with my mom to go see her brother near Nashville. We are eating right now in Knoxville. We are picking up my Gramother and taking her to her home deep in a hollar of Kentucky mountains.
