More specifically southwest Charlotte. Any thoughts? I've had chicken wings from Wing King Cafe, and Jet's Pizza so far here, but we don't eat out very often, and when we do, it's more restaurant then pizza place. Wing King was OK, a little too crispy, but the sauces are bland, and we had Jet's pizza the other night, and their wings were awful. tiny little rubbery things, so sad..

I know there is a place called Taste of Buffalo in Huntersville, but I can't justify driving all the way up there and back just for food. Any insight on where I can find the best wings in the South/Southwest Charlotte area?

My favorite in that area is McKoy's Smokehouse and Saloon.

My top 2 have to be:
1. DD Peckers on Pard Rd near Pineville
2. Wild Wing Cafe...the one on S.Tryon. I ate at the one in the EPICENTRE and didn't like it.

I've been to the Wing King and wings were good..but they're old, rotten, spoiled ketchup that they refuse change is disgusting and smells like vinegar.

The salt n pepper wings at French Quarters on Church Street, followed by their signature Long Island Ice Tea. They only sell the wings after 5 p.m. and that is the only kind they sell. I am hooked!

I'll look up this DD Peckers place. I'm wary of chain restaurant chicken wings

I second Fuel Pizza. Their wings are awesome. Nice and big, and their sauces are all delicious. Hickory Tavern also has really good wings, and they were running a special on Wednesdays for $.50 wings. We go to the Fuel in Rivergate and the Hickory Tavern across the street in Steelecroft.

Wild Wing is gross. I've never been impressed with any of the food there.
