Default Does anyone know if the airport flight pattern recently changed?
I live in the whitehall/steel creeke area and bought a new home moving in May 2011. Recently, I noticed alot more of overhead airplane noise. I travel alot so I'm not home during the week, but this week I was home and noticed airplanes flying overhead about every two minutes and they are loud! I really think it has just gotten worse over the last couple weeks - does anyone know if something recently changed with flight patterns? Is it temporary, or do I need to learn to block this noise out? Can I complain to someone?

Yes they are repaving one of the runways. Three month project.

Seems like the airplane noise has gotten considerably worse in south Charlotte recently...has anyone else noticed this....wondering what is going on?

Absolutely! I live in Indian Land and one flew over today that sounded like it was about to land in my backyard. It was so loud that I went outside to see what was going on. It has progressively gotten worse and worse since they opened the new runway. And the thing that I object to most is that the noise goes until 11 or 11:30 at night sometimes. Ridiculous.
