As a matter of fact, I put Northlake Shopping Center up against any shopping center in Atlanta. Lennox is a huge, old, unattractive mall that has become somewhat ghetto IMO. Of course Atlanta is three times larger than Charlotte so it is going to have lots more. Charlotte is quite accomodating and sufficiently supplies its citizens with their material needs. If you find Charlotte too deficient, why would you choose to reside here?

Phipps Plaza vs south park Lenox vs southpark perimeter mall vs southpark i want you to go to the websites and compare and see who has more to offer Northlake mall is just like going to stone crest mall or towncenter at cobb Phipps plaza look and is 10 times more upscale than south park get real boo And lenox is not ghetto. And if charlotte has more then why do all the NC residents come to shop here in Atlanta??????? I know this for a fact of the NC tags i see at Lenox and phipps maybe because they can find 2 bloomingdales, 3 Nordstroms, saks, jimmy choo, 2 betsey johnson, 2 zaras . diesal, 4 H&Ms, club monaco , 2 armani exchanges, Giorgio Armani, barneys, Gucci , Valentino, hugo boss, cartier, salvator ferragomo, and Neimans which is 2 times larger than charlottes store which means it has more to offer too and some of the stores there are multiple locations etc Plus Our airport is going upscale also offering the same things. i can go on for days plus when streets of BUck head open there definitely going to be here we have 3 upscale malls charlotte has one .”
Here is a list of the stores by category: Here is the link to that http://expectdelays.com/cblog/archiv...New-Shops.html

JOANN FABRICS. Why is there no JoAnn's in Charlotte? Where am I supposed to buy fabric at now?

Have you noticed any other missing stores? I would think since Charlotte is larger and more densely populated we would be a first pick over Raleigh.

At least we have a Trader Joe's now and will hopefully have a Whole Foods soon!
I wish I was a member when this thread started. Geography has a lot to do with certain chains. When I lived in Kentucky, Krogers were on every block. Cincinnati is the headquarters for Krogers and is very close to Kentucky. Charlotte's own Harris Teeter and Salisbury's own Food Lion will not allow room for a Krogers. Charlotte also has a large number of Lowe's home improvement stores as opposed to Home Depot. Lowe's has a Charlotte area HQ and Home Depot has an Atlanta HQ. Charlotte also has several Family Dollars (Charlotte HQ) as opposed to Dollar Generals (Atlanta HQ).

Charlotte's lack of certain chains is partly due to Charlotte's size, geographic location, and home grown businesses. I assure you, you will find more in Charlotte than Apex. You will just have to open your mind to shopping at places with a different name. That's all!!!

When it comes to chains that are based on an area's size and wealth, Charlotte is the top in the state. Neiman Marcus, Ritz Carlton, Burberry, Aloft Hotel "W" brand, and IKEA are all just a few examples of Charlotte only chains in North Carolina. Good Luck shopping in Charlotte if you are still posting LOL!!!
